WYWE?  Why, Yes!

Welcome to the official website of the Williamsburg Youth Wind Ensemble!  As Williamsburg's premier wind and percussion group, we play pop and contemporary music.  As members like to phrase it, it's not Bach, it's rock!

WYWE rehearses most Tuesday nights at Berkeley Middle School, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.  Under the direction of Everett Collins, rehearsals are filled with fun music, cool stories from when Mr. Collins toured with the Isley Brothers, and more!

In order to join this dynamic ensemble, you must have at least one school year of playing experience, be able to play 1-3 scales and the chromatic scale (subject to ability).  Also, please have a prepared piece, such as one from solo festival or district band.  Pieces from Essential Elements and other method books are not allowed.  Pieces must be under two minutes as well.
